Xena arrives

Xena drifts in, 4:35pm yesterday.  Being pushed by Benny in Moonblue 2's
RIB, on the port quarter, as engine not usable....

Benny (Moonblue 2), Oscar ("Junior"), Noel, June (Ffreefire), and Grant
dockside yesterday afternoon, with welcome drinks in hand

Grant, Noel and Oscar left Phuket on 12th December, so a 4-week trip back to Hong Kong, a lot of it tough, against the NE monsoon, with 40+ knot headwinds (gusting 50+ ...), for days, big waves and countercurrents.... As Iris says in her comment :
"8.30p.m. here N.Z. (23DegC) I'm so excited "Xena" and the Boyz at R.H.K.Y.C. safe and sound .. such a Looooooooong Journey .. Well! it's Cheers!!!! to Grant, Noel, Oscar and the Seafaring Warrior Princess "Xena". ... Iris xx"
Issue with the engine is that it revs in neutral, but not when in gear.  Not sure what the problem is.  They were without it for the last eight days, hence sailing all that way. ("heaps of fuel left", says Grant...).
Cheers again to Grant and the boyz for a fantastic delivery, well done to all!

    Fantastic!

    By chance I was at the yacht club after work yesterday - learning about satcomms (!) - when I heard Xena was back. So I headed over to say hi to Grunter,Noel and Oscar - was greeted with big smiles all round (even after all their trials and tribulations) and even a glass of bubbly. How good is that?

    Great that they are back here safely - albeit tired and disheveled.

    Well done guys on another epic delivery!

    Great job done by Grant, Noel & Oscar getting the mighty Xena back to HK, sounds like quite a trip adding to the trip to Thailand!! Thanks for all the messages for the Hobart was an interesting race ending with a 150nm Beat in anything from 25-40 knts.....pretty happy to get there! Hobart really does turn it on for the finish.
