News from old crewmates in Italy

Elegant Adriana at Pantelleria
Claudio and Adriana used to sail with us on our previous boat, Thea.  They've been back in Italy for a few years now.  I heard from Claudio the other day, out of the blue and I'm posting his news with permission.  He kindly offers that if any of our crewmates are down their way get in touch with him for sailing round these beautiful Italian isles... They live in a dammuso, a typical stone house in Pantelleria.

From Claudio, 5th Feb, and some corro in the comments:

Hi Peter,
How are you? Jing and John?
We are good and we are living in a small island in South Italy, Pantelleria, close to Africa.
If you wish you can see many photos of our property on Pantelleria.
We finally own a boat, she is old but she is very good.
Is a Grand Soleil 35 and in the last three years we have cruised a lot around the Mediterranean Sea.
Now we are thinking to leave Pantelleria and go back to live in Veneto, we’ll put on sale and for rent our house in the Island.
We never forget your kindness in Hong Kong and hope to see you again sometime.
If your address is still this and we’ll get a reply, we’ll tell you more about us.
Cheers
Claudio & Adriana

    Hi Peter,
    what a wonderful boat Xena!
We are pleased to know that you are doing so nice and important sailing experience with your new boat.
    We’ll follow your blog.
With our little boat we did a lot of sailing around the Mediterranean, from our Island Pantelleria we use to cruise to Malta (135 miles), Linosa Island and Lampedusa Island (85 miles), Egadi Islands ( 65 miles) and along Tunisian and Sicilian coasts. We cruised to Greece and Sardinia too.
Attached you will find some our photos.
A big hug to Jing and hope to meet you again sometime.
    Good wind and safe sailing
    Claudio

    Hi Peter,
I’ll send you more photos of Eleftheria (in Greak language mean freedom).
Yes, we’ll happy to help your friends.
If neaded we can provide to stay in a “dammuso” (tipical stone house in Pantelleria) and arrange cruises with our boat or charter boats.
If you wish you can put our web site www.dammusoapantelleria.it
    Ciao
    Claudio
