Hi all,
Hope you were following the great and close racing in the Syd38 Div in the Sydney Hobart, with our Xena crew-mate Grant sailing on Eleni.*  They won the Division by 29 seconds



from Another Challenge, with our Baby Tonga competitor, Gordon Ketelby, skippering Zen just 27 minutes later.  I sent Grant SMS, if you want to his no. is +64 9 402 8458.  I followed them all the way down; the Syd-Hobart race tracker is really good.

* Eleni: Owner/Skipper Tony Levett.  From Sydney-Hobart Rolex site: 

Eleni returned to offshore racing in 2008 competing in the Rolex Sydney Hobart, where she finished third in the Sydney 38 One Design Division. Previously racing as Horwath BRI, she finished fourth in the CYCA’s Blue Water Pointscore Series 2006-07, and 3rd in the Tasman Series. Eleni also won the Sydney 38 OD Division of the Sydney to Mooloolaba Race in 2005.  [link here, for however long that link lasts].

Had a call 15 minutes ago from Grant at Hobart.

Big Celebrations!!!!!! Happening as we speak.

They won Sydney 38 National Champs for Sydney to Hobart 2010 by ....wait for this....

Wow Wow Wow!!!! I am so excited and Proud of them all..what an Amazing Effort..after such Gruelling..Punishing Sea conditions.

Before he left I told him I'd be With Him all the Way.

Arrival Auckland  1950 1st January..our car at Auckland Airport Motel..hope he's not too tired for the 3 hour drive home.

I'm waiting to hear from Mia our Sailor Gal and photographer from Asian Yachting Circuit..her Dad lives in Phuket..she sent a message via Facebook to say she and her partner  Lance who lives from up this way too..they're in Paihia right now..and we're going out to celebrate.

I hope you both had an enjoyable relaxing Christmas..the Crew might like to hear about Grants News..you're Great at doing that Peter..thanks.
